On the main Field Display screen, you can see how the activity is distributed throughout the day. This example was run with a single airline using ATL as a hub. This airline has 241 daily departures (and 241 arrivals, of course) out of ATL (top left). The timeline at the bottom is in local time with midnight on the edges. Note that, asside from a few "red-eye" arrivals overnight from the west coast, most of the activity happens between 6AM and 10PM. Red is departures and green is arrivals (though I may switch that scheme around). Each segment is 10 minutes long so the segment just before 7AM has 15 operations scheduled in 10 minutes (most of which are the first bank of morning departures). This screen will be helpful in preventing delays by not scheduling more flights during peak periods.
